Katherman, Heim & Perry is an established law firm that is highly respected in the local business and legal community with a proud tradition of legal excellence. Their old website was through a legal professional marketing service that did not allow third-party access for updating or redesign by any outside parties from that web company. The site was no longer mobile-ready, used generic stock photography, and was overwhelming with 43 pages of content. KHP desired an updated and sophisticated web presence and 100% ownership and management over their web presence. A responsive, updated and condensed website was necessary to effectively reach new prestigious clients while providing a reliable portal for existing clients to access contact information.
The YWG Solution
We recommend the development of a completely original site, built from the ground up, utilizing current site information, but updating stock imagery and adding “local flavor” to the design. A strong emphasis was placed on condensing information and providing design architecture that reflects the tastes and expectations of higher-end clients and businesses. Existing branding colors (blue and gray) was used with the added accent color of goldish-brown. Large amounts of text was then organized and hidden in accordion-style tables. We recommended keeping information on practice areas to help with dynamic and relevant content for SEO. We reduce the sitemap from 32 pages to 14 by condensing current content, eliminating redundancy and irrelevant content. We added local images of the surrounding York, PA area from our personal stock photography library. Other site images were purchased through a photography stock agency. SEO and Google analytics was developed/tightened to help track website tracking and conversions.
